Interests:
For almost 20 years, I have worked in Lake County real estate helping clients
buy, sell and improve their homes. Much of my work with Sellers is during the
weeks and months prior to the first showing. In addition to reviewing
comparable home sales history, I help clients see their home from a buyers’
point of view. We rearrange furniture and accessorize often without spending
money, advise on what items to store or toss, and refer contacts for repairs,
painting and house cleaning. Depending on how long a seller has lived in a
home, several visits may be made and the “to do” list is re-prioritized. My
goal with Buyers has always been to make a “smart buy”- one with a good
location that needs little work but offers the best resale. The last few years,
transferees with Abbott Labs, Kraft Foods or Hospira have been quicker to make
improvements and repairs, sometimes before they move in, so they can enjoy the
changes sooner.
Awards:
Since 1994, I have earned several CENTURY 21® sales awards. The ultimate
CENTURY 21® Centurion award is our industry equivalent to the Emmy or Oscar
which I have earned 12 times in the last 17 years. I have also placed in the
top 15 of all agents within the CENTURY 21® Chicagoland Region for the last few
years. I was recently presented, once again, the customer service award within
our office based on client feedback compiled from surveys sent to every family
following each closing in 2011.
Education:
In June 2006, I finished my MBA at Lake Forest Graduate School of Management,
during which I elected to take three of the international trips offered to
Europe, Asia and Brazil for an emphasis in International Marketing. We competed
in teams not unlike Donald Trump’s television show The Apprentice, before it
got silly, solving real business problems for real companies overseas. The
experience was unbelievable and took us to London, Berlin, Warsaw, Cambridge,
Beijing, Bangkok, Rio & Sau Paulo.
Comments:
I think I am lucky in that I am one of those people who get to do what they
love for a living. I enjoy working with people, solving problems, doing
research and playing detective. A decade in advertising and sales has prepared
me to do a better job at marketing and negotiating for my clients. My passion
for home, garden and architecture gives me great ideas to “stage” homes so they
show their best. My experiences from moving twelve times with two children and
living in six states has given me first-hand knowledge of the stresses and challenges
families face when up-rooting their lives. I look forward to helping you buy or
sell and walking you through a stress-free closing. I have helped some families
in as many as five transactions. I know what I am doing and do it more than
full-time and will personally handle your closing from start to finish. Please
